Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became morning news anchor at WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. The work of O'Dell in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the instances. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. In addition to her current job as the lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She has also hosted the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
